KOREAN PHONE MAKER Samsung's yet to be announced Galaxy Note 3 smartphone will go on sale in the UK on 16 September, according to leaked documents from the Three network.
Obtained by Engadget, the internal document from the UK mobile operator shows that it will start selling the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 on 16 September, following its 4 September unveiling at IFA in Berlin. Three has yet to comment on the leak so we'd take this information with a pinch of salt, although everything looks pretty legitimate to us.
The leaked Three document also shows that the Nokia Lumia 1020 will go on sale in the UK on 25 September, just one day after the rumoured Sony Xperia Z1 smartphone.
Now that a release date is out, there's not much we don't know about the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. If the months of rumours and leaks are anything to go by, which they probably are, Samsung's third generation phablet will have a 5.68in full HD 1080p Super AMOLED touchscreen, complete with stylus support and a Gorilla Glass coating.
The handset reportedly will arrive with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor in the UK, with the Exnoys 5 octo-core version reportedly facing delays due to "overheating issues." This will be paired with the latest version of Google's Android 4.3 Jelly Bean mobile operating system and Samsung's Touchwiz user interface.
There's also talk of a 13MP rear-facing camera complete with 4K Ultra HD video recording capability much like Acer's new Liquid S2 phablet, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage and a 3,200mAh battery. The handset apparently will be available in three different colours - black, white and pink.

Update
Following the release date leak, we've now caught a glimpse of the Galaxy Note 3's pricing. According to a Russian retailer, the handset will cost around ?580 SIM-free in the UK. ?
